A Piece of French History

A Piece of French History - discovered at the back of the corniche board was this writing "Devant" and "Milieu" -"In front of" and "Middle". Surely placed there when the organ was dismantled in Bordeaux in 1904. Probably too much to hope for original writing from Eugène Puget who would hardly have written instructions to himself in 1890! It is now covered forever as the corniche was the first piece to be attached to the front of the platform. But it is there!
